An Old Sage?

WASHINGTON — President Bush shared some bittersweet reflections on Thursday as he looked back fondly on his White House days but regretted his inability to win passage of immigration legislation and to change the tone of debate in the capital.

Said Bush of himself:
An old sage at 62 ... headed to retirement.
Give me a break.

From Webster's Seventh New Collegiate dictionary:

sage n 1 : one (as a profound philosopher) distinguished for wisdom 2 : a mature or venerable man sound in judgement

If there's anything on this planet that Bush isn't, a sage would be it.

Webster to the rescue:

fool\'ful\ n [ME. fr. OF fol, fr. LL follis 1 : a person lacking in judgement or prudence 2 a : a retainer formerly kept in great households to provide causal entertainment and commonly dressed in motley with cap. bells and bauble. b one who is victimized or made to appear foolish : DUPE 3 a : a harmlessly deranged person or one lacking in common powers of understanding

One thing for certain... Bush the bauble-headed should have used a dictionary more often.

No wonder he goes to bat so faithfully for the wetbacks: He doesn't speak English, either...Not properly or truthfully.
