Hip, Flip and Slippery

Just watched CNN's coverage of Jeremiah Wright's question and answer session about the radioactive comments he has been making to his flock.

He did not answer any of the hard questions at all. A typical example:

Question: Are you patriotic or not?

Non-answer: I served six years in the military. Does that make me patriotic? How many years did(vice-president)Cheney serve?

Well, no, spending six years in the military does not make you patriotic. It just shows that - in a time of the draft - serving was better than jail time. And nowhere in the question was the vice-president mentioned.

All his "answers" were just like that. He deflected the crux of the question, always re-directing attention to another issue.

As far as six years in the military goes, I served those same six years. Four in active sevice, two in standby reserve. I got my notice from Uncle Sam about my upcoming military adventure in the army from the draft board, so I joined the Navy, since they had the best schools.

His joke-of-the-day was that all this attention he has garnered was not an attack on him, but an attack on the black church. No, all the attention is because he is a loudmouthed pot-stirrer, one exceedingly well trained to use words as weapons.

Soledad O'Brien, another one of those CNN dyed-in-the-wool touchy-feely liberal Obama supporters, while commenting on Wright's performance, never looked more pained and unhappy... ever.

It was remarkable for a CNN bimbo - one trained to smile and look happy with the world at all times - to look so distressed on live TV. A deer in the headlights would have looked much calmer.

If Wright's "answers" pained the rest of the media community as much as O'Brian, they'll all be scrambling to really spin this one, big time.

Look for it.

Of Things To Come

One refinery plans on going off line in England = mass panic:

read this

Corn And Ethanol

An applied economics professor at Minnesota just said:
“It takes around 400 pounds of corn to make 25 gallons of ethanol. It’s not going to be a very good diet but that’s roughly enough(food) to keep an adult person alive for a year.
Well, some of our native Americans lived on corn their entire lives without any noticeable side effects, what with the occasional buffalo, rabbit or noisy dog tossed in for good measure.

Not good tidings for the ethanol from corn crowd.

Sugar cane - you green morons - sugar cane. Not corn.

Even switchgrass or Sorghum is a least twice as efficent when used to produce ethanol.

Another Banty Rooster Struts And Crows

Cock-a-doodle-doo:
The commander of the Israeli air force takes Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s threats against Israel extremely seriously. Says he, "Israelis must be ready for anything and ultimately trust only themselves..."
OK, if you don't now and ultimately can't trust the United States - with it's Jewish controlled media and Jewish riddled federal government - to keep supporting you endlessly as we have from day one of your little nation-building experiment, we should just stop it all now and let you go your own way.

And why not? Your god will no doubt save and protect you, so why do you even need the U.S.? Or our money? Or our tanks, helicopters, rockets, etc.,etc.,etc.

We're in so much trouble here in the U. S. that we just don't need to keep shouldering the burden of all those problems caused by your armed invasion and occupation of somebody else's property.

So if you believe you should go it alone, quit flapping your jaws and go for it.

Don't forget to gather up all your damn spies in our government while you're at it.

And then get the hell out of our affairs.

Addendum:
No, that's not anti-semitism. That's just facing the fact that today's Israel is not our friend or ally.... never has been, and doesn't want to be. We're just not intelligent or acceptable enough for their kind to be true friends and equals... Not being a part of Gods "Chosen" people and all that blather.

Not Surprising

This from the London Independent:
Most scientists involved in Aids research believe that a vaccine against HIV is further away than ever and some have admitted that effective immunisation against the virus may never be possible, according to an unprecedented poll conducted by The Independent.

A mood of deep pessimism has spread among the international community of Aids scientists after the failure of a trial of a promising vaccine at the end of last year. It just was the latest in a series of setbacks in the 25-year struggle to develop an HIV vaccine.
As I said, this is not surprising. The world's number one misery virus that causes the common cold has never been whipped, it's not even close. And the AIDS virus is far more complex.

They mentioned the twenty-five-year effort to find a cure. What they didn't mention was the billions and billions and billions now apparently wasted on all these failed efforts, another onerous part of the crushing cost of AIDS.

"The Tide Is Turning"

That's what Hillary said last night in her victory speech.

And I believe she is right.

Most of Obama's wins were early on in the campaign, when no one really knew much about his positions and his intents if elected.

But now that Hillary has started - and rightly so - pointing out his numerous zits and flaws, his momentum has slowed.

And there is still one thing Hillary has not mentioned... she will have a successful two-term past president as a 24/7 advisor.

Think what you may of Bill, he kept our nation out of war, put our economy in good shape, helped our international standing worldwide and left Bush with a large surplus, which was promptly squandered.

McCain wants war, war, war. And he is an Israeli puppet, lock, stock and barrel. That does him in as far as I am concerned. I also believe he would not live out his first term as president.

Obama? He is far too left leaning to even consider, and he does appear to have some deep-rooted racist tendencies which may bode ill for the white majority. His campaign is bringing to the surface the fact that many blacks in America have not faced and overcome their resentment and anger towards whites, and that a black president could easily empower many highly emotional and riot-oriented blacks with a "payback time attitude" to a who-knows-what level of violence.

An independent to come charging in? Too late.

So, looks like the lizard queen has found herself another not-so-enthusiastic supporting non-supporter.

Diesel For $2.00 a Gallon

Just watched a CNN piece about an Arizona trucking firm that operates near the Mexican border and sends a 500 gallon tanker across the border every day to buy diesel fuel for $2.00 a gallon. The owner of the trucking firm stated that if they couldn't get the Mexican diesel at half the cost of American diesel, they would go out of business.

Now that ought to walk up and slap you in the face. Diesel in Arizona $4.00/Gal - hop across that open border - diesel in Mexico $2.00/gal.

Of course, Mexico is an oil-producing nation that belongs to OPEC, providing their citizens with fuel at half the cost Americans are paying. Another little zinger is that gasoline in Dubai is less than fifty cents a gallon, and comparable low prices are to be found in other Arab-friendly places.

Maybe there's a few things we are not being told about this oil crisis? Like that it's not worldwide? That many other nations are paying much less for fuel? That the Israel-supporting "western" civilization nations are the ones that have been singled out for these back-breaking fuel costs?

And maybe that's because the Jews control what our media tells us, and for us to know the truth would be very bad for Israel, that the Arab controlled OPEC is serving an economy crushing vengeance upon us for supporting the Jewish occupation of Arab territory for decades. No, no, you'll NEVER hear anything like that from our all-American media.

But, but, you say, it's the giant oil companies that are responsible for all these high prices. Well, do something Americans don't usually do for themselves, check it out. Go find out who owns all those giant oil companies, the big stockholders that get all the money... you'll find a list of who's-who in Zionville.

Americans have been such fools, and now that it's time to pay the piper, they don't have a clue who did it to them... or why.

How High Will Oil Go?

Americans are wondering just how much more gas will cost in the near future, how much higher will the cost of oil go.

More to the point, we should be asking why the prise of oil going through the roof. There's plenty of oil worldwide, we have sufficient refining resources, demand has dropped, and yet it keeps climbing.

It is OPEC that is driving the price up. OPEC is controlled by the Arab suppliers. And regardless of what Bush or the media claim, the Arabs hate us. We have invaded many of their countries, been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of their citizens, and supported their hated enemy Israel with billions in military and financial aid.

Think of the Arabs States as you do the American States, each a part of the greater whole. Our fifty states make up America as a whole, and the Arab states make up the Muslim world as a whole. When we attack one, we attack them all.

Just imagine China or Mexico attacking Arizona, and then claiming they are not attacking the United States.

And all those Arabs States have found a way to punish America for supporting Israel. they don't have to attack us with bombs and troops. All they need do is price their oil beyond our reach, and watch as we bankrupt ourselves trying to keep gas in our cars, fuel oil in our homes, and oil to run our power plants.

Other nations such as China, India, Japan and others who are feeling the real pain of these exorbitant oil prices, are being propagandized to believe it is all America's fault.

So the Arabs are cleaning out our wallets, making enemies of our former friends, and successfully isolating Israel even further. And all our news outlets love to refer to this process only as "rising anti-Semitism".

And it's working.

Meanwhile - back at home - the ecofreaks and greens continue to block any development of our own oil resources such as the north slope, our massive oil shale potential, our massive coal resources, and our nuclear power plants. But we have grizzlies back in our national parks now - attacking and killing campers - thanks to them. Ain't that great?

Gad... we sure need a lot of rope.

Rice Babbles Over Again

KUWAIT CITY (AP)
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Tuesday the Bush administration explicitly warned former President Jimmy Carter against meeting with members of Hamas, the Palestinian faction that controls the Gaza Strip and which is regarded by the U.S. as a terror group.
Damn. Somebody tries to get some form of communication going with an adversary in the middle East, and this Bush lightweight gets all bent out of shape. Well, maybe she's just parroting Bush, supporting his inability to talk to anybody.

We talked endlessly with the Russians during the cold war, a real adversary. Now why all of a sudden is talking with another adversary - a small time one at that - such a crime?

Or maybe it's just another expression of the Israeli lobby's influence in our government, demonstrating Israel's desire not to have us recognize any of the enemies they have created.

5,000 Illiterate Peasants

Douglas Bruce, R-Colorado Springs, puts it on the line:
I would like to have the opportunity to state at the microphone why I don't think we need 5,000 more illiterate peasants in Colorado.
"How dare you!" snapped Democratic Rep. Kathleen Curry, who as debate chairwoman ended Bruce's privilege to speak.

Legislative leaders are deciding what to do next. They could open a formal ethics complaint and hearing, which could lead to suspension, censure or expulsion.

Bruce defended his remarks afterward:
I looked up 'illiterate' in the dictionary and it means somebody who is lacking in formal education or is unable to read and write. I don't think these people who are planning to come over here and pick potatoes or peaches are likely to have much of a formal education. I looked up the word 'peasant.' The word 'peasant' means a person who works in agricultural fields.

These people, most of them, don't speak English. Most of them haven't had any formal education, that's why they're coming over here. I don't blame them for trying, but I don't think we should pave the way for more aliens to come here.
A man has the balls to call a spade a spade and some broad has a hissy fit.

And now an out-of-touch but very PC batch of "leaders" are considering his suspension, censure or expulsion.

"How dare you" says this idiot female who seems to think Colorado is just the place for 5,000 more welfare and medicare leeches. Well, he dares because he wants the truth to be known.

As for me, I'd vote for Bruce for any office he runs for. A bit of reality is in order.

Washington Leadership

Burglaries are on the rise in the District of Columbia, with police blaming the souring economy as a contributing factor in a 21 percent increase in break-ins over the same period last year.
Criminals are jimmying locks, kicking in front doors, breaking through roof hatches and skylights, and sometimes even sawing security bars off windows to get into houses and businesses, police said. They are hauling off computers, flat-screen televisions, jewelry, digital media players and other items, which they then sell.
Take a close look at the below picture:

That's D. C. Assistant Police Chief Diane Groomes and some of her office help. An office with pretty plants in the window, a nice framed print to add an artistic flair. Now there's police leadership to be proud of.

That just may explain a lot of the problem all by itself.

The Idiots Are In Control

This little tidbit from the New York Sun:
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Many parts of America, long considered the breadbasket of the world, are now confronting a once unthinkable phenomenon: food rationing. Major retailers in New York, in areas of New England, and on the West Coast are limiting purchases of flour, rice, and cooking oil as demand outstrips supply. There are also anecdotal reports that some consumers are hoarding grain stocks.
Think ethanol. Farmers who once grew wheat have switched to growing corn, since the ethanol producers are paying such high prices for it. The remaining wheat is now in short supply and has more than doubled in price. Think rising food prices.

The total idiots who think that fuel from corn will be as good as fuel from sugar are witless morons. Sugar cane - as a raw material for fuel - yields ten times as much energy as corn. That's an undeniable and proven fact.

So the cretins who are pushing this ethanol from corn insanity have instead created a fuel that takes more energy to produce than it provides, have caused the price of corn and wheat to more than double, and have created a worldwide food shortage. It will only get worse.

For the clueless amongst us, the U. S. has been the world's major producer and supplier of wheat for generations, but no more. The wheat farmers are growing corn... so we can burn that incredibly inefficient bio-fuel in our cars.

And now, we hear the siren call for hydrogen fuel. However, it takes massive amounts of electricity to separate out hydrogen from the water it is in, which simply means massive amounts of coal and oil and natural gas will be required to provide the electricity.

Americans - by and large - are dumb... by design.

Connections

A Drudge report headline:
Obama claims Jewish 'kinship'...
A White house news release:
President George W. Bush signed a presidential proclamation Tuesday, highlighting the important work of the Chabad Lubavitch movement. The Chabad Lubavitch movement promotes global education, and since 1978, every President has signed an Education and Sharing Day proclamation.
Israel's number one Congressional lobbyist:
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), the Democratic Party’s 2000 vice presidential nominee, is leaving open the possibility of giving a keynote address on behalf of Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) at the Republican National Convention in September.
What sort of global education are these Labavitch Rabbis promoting? Has anybody stopped to check that out? Why do they have such pull that every American president since 1978 has sucked up to them?

Why - all of a sudden - does Obama want to claim "Jewish kinship"? A Not-so-subtle indication that he will toe the line on Israel?

And naturally, Leiberman is going for an influential position in the possible McCain White house.

Seems that a very pervasive Jewish thread runs through every branch of America's government. Only problem with that is this thread is interested in Israel first, and America... a distant second.

98% Failure

This from U. S. News and World report:
President Bush often argues that history will vindicate him. So he can't be pleased with an informal survey of 109 professional historians conducted by the History News Network. It found that 98 percent of them believe that Bush's presidency has been a failure, while only about 2 percent see it as a success. Not only that, more than 61 percent of the historians say the current presidency is the worst in American history. In 2004, only 11.6 percent of the historians rated Bush's presidency in last place. Among the reasons given for his low ratings: invading Iraq, "tax breaks for the rich," and alienating many nations around the world.
I should apply for a historian position. I've been saying that all along.

Actually, I'd rather be the judge at his treason trial.

They Must Have Failed Math

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. food prices rose 4 percent in 2007, compared with an average 2.5 percent annual rise for the last 15 years, U.S. food prices rose 4 percent in 2007,

And the agency says 2008 could be worse, with a rise of as much as 4.5 percent.

Where in the hell do they shop for food? Not any place I know of.

I keep a really close watch on our food costs, it being second only to the mortgage in monthly outlay, and from my records, the least cost rise in a food item we purchase has been 10%, with others as as much as 27%.

Not only are the presidential candidates totally out of touch, so is the rest of this idiotic federal government.

And the Agricultural Department folks who figured out these numbers? Either they have been ordered to falsify the numbers, or they really are stupid.

Small Town Hoof-And-Mouth

Obama reveals a bit more of himself:
You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them.

And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
Obama was quoted as saying all this by the Huffington Post.

Anti-immigrant? No, anti-job stealing illegal aliens who number in the millions.

Anti-trade? No, anti-free trade polices that have caused a huge amount of our jobs to vanish overseas.

CNN pundits have rated this anti-gun, anti-religion, anti-small town rant on the political damage scale of 1 to 10 as 10 or 11.

And this is the potential president who's supposed to unite America?

Gets funner every day.

Perky Katie, Down And Almost Out

A wide-ranging discussion in February about Katie Couric’s future as the anchor of the “CBS Evening News” threatened on Thursday to turn her into a virtual lame duck in the job.
Nuts... she was a lame duck from day one.

Below is a copy of my post on September 6, 2006:

The big day finally arrived. The most intensely hyped event in TV news history... is history.

Perky Katie Couric presented herself in her "first ever" major TV news anchor seat. A few comments are in order--not from me--but from some of her no doubt former friends in the industry.

"Katie couric underwent last night her second on-air colonoscopy."

"...Katie spent a half-hour desperately looking as if she had to go potty".

"... crossing her bare legs like some ridiculous tramp."

"What was conspicuously lacking were any flourishes that could be seen as brazen attempts to render the news' appeal younger, hipper and, dare we say it, more feminine."

Sorta expected all this. For a reported salary of 15 million a year, I was expecting a bit more, actually a lot more.

Pro Second-Death Obama

Just what we need more of:
In a sit-down interview with the "gay" magazine the Advocate, Sen. Barack Obama said, if elected, he foresees eliminating the military's "don't ask, don't tell policy" and passing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, opposed by many faith-based groups that argue it would force them to accept homosexuals in leadership.

Obama indicated he wants the bill to include protection for transgenders, but acknowledged opposition in Congress is strong, noted David Brody, senior national correspondent for the Christian Broadcasting Network's news division, or CBN News.
Hot damn... Obama will apparently provide federal government support for more pedophiles, homosexuals, lesbians, transgenders and child molesters in our school systems, on our school boards, on our city councils, as lawyers and judges in our courtrooms, as representatives and senators that rule us all from on high in Washington.

And what's a "second-death"? The end of your line. You die... With no progeny to carry on your DNA, your history or your heritage. All before you in your long line of ancestors, stretching back to the dawn of history... whatever they and you had to offer to humanity's future - is lost. That's the "second death".

Better start hiding your kids in the basement, they have become legal targets for every group of "alternate" lifestylers on the planet, and apparently potential President of the United States "Senator" Barak Obama thinks it's all just fine. The poor, sick puppy... He'll suck up to any group at all to get votes.

You know what's really happened?

While we ordinary folks were all busy making a living and supporting our families, these people that promote a lifestyle that would end all human life in one generation - a lifestyle that can produce no children - have spent their time and money getting into positions of authority. Places like school boards, city councils, positions of power and influence in government and business at all levels, spreading their practices by using our courts, government and the HR departments in business everywhere against us. And now they're in the drivers seat. They determine the school agendas and what gets taught. They decide who gets hired or fired. They own the courts. They control just about everything that has sway over our daily lives, particularly the lives of our young children.

As a result, we now have a generation of otherwise normal adults that were raised under this topsy-turvy mess that actually think it's all OK for these people to forcefully impose their lifestyles on everybody else, like it or not. Obama appears to be one of these "it's all OK" types.

It has become beyond obvious they don't just want to be left alone, to live their lives out as they see fit. They want our children as their personal playtoys and want us silenced, defeated, gone. They have declared a take-no-prisoners war against us. You can end up in jail for just trying to protect your kids from these deviates. They want free rein to prey on our children in order to satisfy their particular sexual practices, and will stomp you into the ground if you object, using our own courts and government to do it.

You can't fight them in the PTA, you can't fight them in the courts, you can't get the government to protect your interests, or your children's interests.

As a result, the only way we have left to stop them is to stop them dead.

Another Short, Sharp War

During General Petraeus' conversation with the Senate, he was asked by Senator Joe Lieberman:
Is it fair to say that the Iranian-backed special groups in Iraq are responsible for the murder of hundreds of American soldiers and thousands of Iraqi soldiers and civilians?
"It certainly is. ... That is correct," said Petraeus.

Now wait just a minute... Let's see some real evidence, some proof of that. More than just the word of a man sent over there to support Bush and his ambitions. We went to war with Iraq because Bush told us Iraq had WMD's and was "only weeks away" from attacking the United States. Remember that?

Petraeus told the House Armed Services Committee:
Unchecked, the 'special groups' pose the greatest long-term threat to the viability of a democratic Iraq.
Translation: The United States is now fighting the proxies of Iran for the future of Iraq. This is a wildy speculative comment by a man not trained - or qualified - to make it. General Patraeus has no crystal ball revealing to him what the long-term threats are to Iraq's supposed, but non-existent, democracy. This supposed democracy is nothing more than an American supported puppet government.

So Bush is going to attack Iran, this time using the story of his toe-the-line general.

Says Pat Buchanan:
The generals testimony is forcing Bush's hand, for consider the question it logically raises: If the Quds Force and Hezbollah, both designated as terrorist organizations, are arming, training and directing "special groups" to "murder" Americans, and rocket and mortar the Green Zone to kill our diplomats, and they now represent the No. 1 threat to a free Iraq, why has Bush failed to neutralize these base camps of terror and aggression?

Hence, be not surprised if President Bush appears before the TV cameras, one day soon, to declare:

"My commanding general in Iraq, David Petraeus, has told me that Iran, with the knowledge of President Ahmadinejad, has become a privileged sanctuary for two terrorist organizations – Hezbollah and the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard – to train, arm and direct terrorist attacks on U.S. and coalition forces, despite repeated promises to halt this murderous practice.

"I have therefore directed U.S. air and naval forces to begin air strikes on these base camps of terror. Our attacks will continue until the Iranian attacks cease."
In early 2007, Nancy Pelosi pulled down a resolution that would have denied Bush the authority to attack Iran without congressional approval.

Because of the failures of this Democratic Congress elected to end the war, Bush can now make a compelling case that he would be acting fully within his authority as commander in chief.

In September of 2007, both Houses passed the Kyl-Lieberman resolution designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization.

So Bush will launch another one of his planned short, sharp wars, another one of those expected two-week wars like Iraq was supposed to have been, that will most likely embroil us in years more of fruitless and insane conflict with a nation that has not attacked the United States.

But this time, our military is spent, our troops exhausted and worn, our war materials depleted, our equipment worn out and broken, fighting yet another nation that never attacked us.

And Iran has had five years of uninterrupted time to prepare for our attack, an attack we have stupidly warned them of for years.

Prepare yourself mentally. We're in for a real shock this time around.

Crocodile Tears

Can you imagine this?

This is the man who has sent over 4,000 American soldiers to their death in a war he lied to us all to get started... so he could revenge his father's embarrassment by Saddam.

Crying over the death of one... or is it because he had to fork over another Medal of Honor? A medal he will never get, has no concept of what it means, and has no idea whatever what it really takes to earn one.

I have a special bottle of wine I will crack open when this weepy shoot-from-the-hip drugstore cowboy is finally ejected out of the White House.

And a thirty-year-old bottle of scotch to polish off if he gets tried and hung for treason.

Water Water Everywhere... Not

The small town of Oakland, Florida is considering forcing a 100-gallon-per-person daily limit on water for its residents.

Some residents in Oakland, which is located south of Apopka(now you know exactly where), are outraged over the proposed limit on water and said the rapid growth in the area must stop until there is no longer a shortage.

Said resident "Susan":
I don't understand why they are allowing them to still build if the water supply is not there. And, why should we be cut?
One hundred gallons a day. Almost two 55 gallon drums full of water. That is a hell of a lot of water to someone like me, who was raised in arid New Mexico. We had to pump our own water from four hundred feet down, so we lived a life of water rationing and were quite accustomed to it. No twenty-minute showers, no automatic dish washer, no water-guzzling automatic clothes washer, and any landscaping we had was "natural" landscaping that required no watering, a feature I loved, since there was no huge lawn that needed constant care and cutting.

It's not at a difficult to use less than a hundred gallons a day if you quit being totally wasteful.

Just wait until the cost of potable water starts reflecting its scarcity. Poor little residents like "Susan" will really start wailing.

What ever will happen to us pampered and privledged Americans if we have to start actually washing and rinsing dishes in the sink? Or - heaven forbid - wash and rinse clothes by hand?

The end of civilization as we know it.

The Olympic Flame

PARIS - Security officials snuffed out the Olympic torch and carried it through Paris in the safety of a bus at least five times Monday as chaotic protests against China's human rights record turned the relay into a chaotic series of stops and starts.
Snuffed it out five times? What a joke.

They might just as well light up the Olympic flame in China with a made-in-China cigarette lighter and forget all this running around the world with the now fake Olympic flame.

Total Overload

ABCNews’ Mary Bruce Reports: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is actively courting the vice presidential nomination, Republican strategist Dan Senor said.

You bet...

I can just see the Republican power brokers picking Rice as VP... under normal conditions, that is.

But, if Obama gets the demo nod, It's easy to see how the repubs would want a black on their team also.

Anything to stay in power.

Fred Hits Another One

This latest from Fred On Everything:
From Reuters I have the following, by President Bush, speaking of his dilettante foray into Afghanistan:

"I must say, I'm a little envious. If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed…It must be exciting for you ... in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You're really making history, and thanks."

This bears thought, though not by the faint-hearted. Yes, we expect elected officials to dissemble to gull the rubes. This is after all the world’s greatest democracy. And sure, fourth-grade English is coming to be a sign of advanced study. Fine. But, dead serious, the man is crazy. “Romance” in Afghanistan? Democracy in…has he never been out of his back yard? The splendid fun of confronting danger? His condition sounds like organic brain damage or a serious case of arrested development. It’s great to be Peter Pan until Tinkerbelle gets gut-shot.

Don’t misunderstand me. I have nothing against an honest liar, but he seems to believe this stuff. I’m not kidding: He needs to be shrink-wrapped and put somewhere safe for the duration.
What else is there to say?

Just Great...

We have just been informed by national TV news that about 1,000 American trained Iraqi government soldiers have refused to fight, stood down, gave up their weapons and equipment, and then deserted.

They gave up their weapons and equipment to the supposed enemy, Iraqi Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr and his forces in Basra, and then just walked away.

These are the Iraqi government troops we have spent billions on for training and equipping, the very forces Bush and Patraeus tell us will bring peace and prosperity to Iraq.

After five years of spilled blood and lost treasure, it has all come down to this.

Enough. Time to get out.

Tell Me Why I Shouldn't Worry

As Barack Obama edges closer to the possibility of being the Democratic nominee for president, I am looking closer at his attitudes as reflected in his speeches and comments, particularly the surfacing attitudes and responses being shown and made by the black communities, pundits, talk show hosts, etc.

It has not been any particular statement or action by Obama that makes me nervous, he is far too slick to make very many outright blunders such as the unfortunate remark about about his grandmother, but more the reactions of those blacks who vigorously support him, the very people he is playing up to, the ones who read things in between the lines of his speeches. The closer he gets to the nomination, the more volatile, arrogant and pushy so many of them are becoming, as more of their yet unvoiced expectations rise, a really bad sign. His supposed ex-pastor is a splendid example of this.

So what is Obama's real position on things like "affirmative action"? Where blacks are given legal advantage over whites? Does he think it fine and dandy? Does he want more of the same? Does he plan on continuing or even increasing black advantage over whites in America?

The pressure on him from blacks to give themselves even more advantage may be irresistible - perhaps even desirable - to him. We don't know. He has not said what his intentions are, at least to whites. He has not been asked... by whites. Perhaps that is why a CNN poll today shows that over 60% of Americans believe the country is not ready for a black president. He is still too much of an unknown. Regardless of what he may say his intentions are, he is still without enough of a track record to validate his statements.

He would have the incredible power of the presidential "executive order" to force things on us not wanted or authorized by Congress or the voters.

Maybe somebody should put his feet to the fire on this matter. It's pretty important.

Bernanke, Two-Faced And Forked-Tongued

Fed chairman Bernanke was the top witness at a hearing called to examine whether the Fed was justified in providing up to $30 billion of taxpayers money to facilitate the sale of Bear Stearns Cos. to JP Morgan Chase & Co., both privately owned-corporations.

Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd asked Bernanke:
Was this a justified rescue to prevent a systemic collapse of financial markets or a $30 billion taxpayer bailout for a Wall Street firm while people on Main Street struggle to pay their mortgages?
Part of Bernanke's answer:
Given the exceptional pressures on the global economy and financial system, the damage caused by a default by Bear Stearns could have been severe and extremely difficult to contain.
He also said foremost in his mind during his decision-making process was the well-being of Americans citizens everywhere. I actually heard him say that.

I guess that's why he forked over $30 billion in taxpayer money to facilitate(bail out) the sale of Bear Stearns Cos. to JP Morgan Chase & Co., and zero dollars to Americans being screwed by these greedy cretins and their overreaching mortgage banks.
Democrats on the Senate Banking Committee said they wanted to find out what pressures the Bush administration had brought to close the sale and whether big investment banks were getting preferential treatment over millions of Americans in danger of defaulting on their mortgages.
Preferential treatment? What transparent nonsense... These two private banks - foolish financial practices and all - are the only ones getting any help, and that at the expense of the American taxpayer.

So Bernanke says one thing( about helping American citizens) while doing another(bailing out private corporations)... So typical of the lying and self-serving Washington scum we must all tolerate today.

Off with The Gloves, On With The Steel Gauntlets

It's about time:
April 3, 2008

WASHINGTON - While lobbying for his endorsement, Hillary Rodham Clinton flatly told New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson that Barack Obama could not win the presidency if he got the Democratic nomination.

"He cannot win, Bill. He cannot win," she said, according to a report by ABC News.
This is the part I always like during a campaign... when they quit kissing babies and shaking hands, and bring out the big guns.

The bimbos and bobble heads on TV news despair about how it's getting nasty - how it's turning off off the American voter - baloney.

It's just starting to get interesting.

Argentina Stirs The Pot

BUENOS AIRES (AFP) Argentine President Cristina Kirchner said Wednesday:
"The sovereign claim to the Malvinas Islands is inalienable.
This claim was made in a speech marking the 26th anniversary of Argentina's ill-fated invasion of the islands, located 300 miles off the Argentine shore.

The April 2, 1982 invasion prompted then British prime minister Margaret Thatcher to deploy naval forces to retake the Falklands, known as the Malvinas in Spanish. The short, bloody conflict led to Argentina's surrender on June 14, 1982 after the death of 649 Argentines and 255 Britons, a conflict that cost the Brits a major ship of the line and damn near bankrupted England in the process.

In her speech Kirchner called for Argentina to strengthen its representation in international bodies to denounce "this shameful colonial enclave in the 21st century."

She has a point. England is about halfway around the world away from the Falklands/Malvinas, a place of absolutely no economic, military or strategic value to England, just one of the very last remnants of England's long-dead empire.

What with all the hot spots we have bubbling away in the world today, the last thing we need is another military confrontation over a nothing place, miles and miles from nowhere.

The Coming Horseman

Diesel fuel has reached another milestone; it has surpassed the $4 mark across much of the nation, according to AAA.

Because of this, many independent truckers are organizing a nationwide strike starting April 1 through April 3. After paying their monthly truck note, then having to deal with soaring diesel prices, independent truckers said they don’t have any money to support their families or pay bills.

It's all good... Mexican truckers will take up the slack. But stay off the freeways, those highly trained and safety oriented professionals have already amassed an impressive record of smashed and burning highway wreckage across America.

Oh... just in case you're wondering... independant truck drivers do make of the majority of truckers in America.

Well, Now You Know

Barrel of oil - pre-George Bush - around 25 dollars.
Barrel of oil - post-Geroge bush - over 100 dollars, and still climbing.

Here's to you, America...

Amazing

Look at these images. Life-sized bronze horses galloping through whatever they're galloping through, American flags flying everywhere.

What are they? A new wing of the Smithsonian museum? A new world center for peace and progress? A new edifice celebrating the boundless spirit of mankind?

Nah...

They are pictures of the George Bush Museum... Daddy Bush, the one-termer, the read-my-lips Bush, the Mr. one-worlder, big oilman Bush, father of the treacherous war-mongering big oil man dunce in the White House today.

A monument to the ego of a president who sold us all out.

Those galloping horses? They're trying to get the hell away from the place... as any respectable horse would.

And those American flags... why are they flying at the museum of a man who worked tirelessly to put us all under the one-world flag of a borderless non-nation? A man who tried to put our entire military under the authority of the United Nations? A man who ceded many of our national rights to the whims of an offshore tribunal at the Hague?

Those American flags should be removed. They don't belong there. And the buildings turned into another Wal-Mart, the American symbol of Chinese market domination.
