A Remarkable Letter to WND

This is an exact copy of a letter written to WorldNetDaily. I hope the author is not upset by my re-posting it.
In an article linked on WND, Angelica Salas, director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, says Congress was "bullied by a small contingent of hate-mongering anti- immigrants completely unrepresentative of the larger American public."

How dare this demagogue of a woman call us "hate mongers" and "anti-immigrant"? By the use of the typically overblown, emotionally laden hyperbole of the modern "community activist," Ms. Salas proves the only hate mongering going on here is by her and her special interest group, which obviously advocates for criminals who have broken our immigration laws.

Many of us who opposed the immigration bill in the form in which it was presented are the progeny of immigrants who came here and made a better life for themselves and us. The difference between MY immigrant grandparents, Ms. Salas, and most of the people YOU represent is that MY grandparents arrived on these shores LEGALLY, in broad daylight, and came in through the FRONT door, applied for citizenship, got jobs, paid taxes, bought property and contributed to the advancement of their newly adopted country. They didn't sneak in like thieves in the night, work using false documentation, avoid paying taxes, take welfare and health care and educational benefits away from those who actually were entitled to them, and send all their money back to their families in another country.

My immigrant grandparents were proud to apply for American citizenship and actually made their best effort to learn the language of their new country. They didn't try to impose their language and culture on their neighbors and co-workers, as the "illegal arrivistas" you champion seem to think is their right.

So, Ms. Salas, you owe us all an apology for your vitriolic attacks upon us as "hate mongers" and "anti-immigrants" for simply asking you and your people to enter this country the right way – legally. I won't hold my breath.

You and your constituency are no better than my grandparents were, so shut up, get in line, apply legally for citizenship under the quota system, learn the language, get a job. Or get out. The door swings both ways.

Richard Krizan
My thoughts exactly.

Yes Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus

Virginia Introduces $3550 Speeding Ticket:
Virginia legislator introduces new speeding ticket tax that boosts penalties beyond $3550, driving business to his traffic law firm. Virginia motorists convicted of minor traffic violations will face a new, multi-year tax beginning July 1. Led by state Delegate David B. Albo (R-Springfield), lawmakers slipped a driver responsibility tax into a larger transportation funding bill signed by Governor Tim Kaine (D) in April.
Albo, a senior partner in the Albo & Oblon, LLP traffic law firm, can expect to see a significant increase in business as motorists seek to protect their wallet from traffic tickets that come with assessments of up to $3000 in addition to an annual point tax that tops out at $700 a year for as long as the points remain.
Wooo-hooo. The state gets gobs of new money, and the lawyers get gobs of new clients.
"The purpose of the civil remedial fees imposed in this section is to generate revenue," the new law states. (Virginia Code 46.2-206.1)
This was snuck in and pushed thru by a legislator who owns a law firm that now expects much more business. When you to stop to consider that most lawmakers in government everywhere are lawyers, then you realize that those legal scumbags have now hatched a plan that will get you coming and going - at least in virginia - so far.

Your state - no doubt - will soon follow.

I Am The Law

Anderson, South Carolina
Anderson County Sheriff David Crenshaw has been driving for 14 months on an expired driver's license. And he said he flunked the driving test the first time he tried to get his license back.

Crenshaw calls it a mistake. He thought he had a 10-year license instead of a five-year license. Apparently, they quit sending out renewal notices. "I just wasn't aware that it had expired," he said.
You bet. But did he get a ticket and pay a fine? Did he go to jail--like Paris Hilton--for forgetting?

Reminds me of the Sheriff in that Macon County movie that leaned into the car window and said: "You in a heap a trouble, boy..."

This guy sounds like the prototype.

Obama Wades In

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama laid out list of political shortcomings he sees in the Bush administration but said he opposes impeachment for either President George W. Bush or Vice President Dick Cheney.
Well, of course. He(or his advisors) most likely see the repub plot to fill the two spots with GOP presidental hopefuls... As I therorized in my previous entry.

It also adds a bit of credence to my idea.

Getting Interesting Now...

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush, moving toward a constitutional showdown with Congress, asserted executive privilege Thursday and rejected lawmakers' demands for documents that could shed light on the firings of federal prosecutors.
Bush's attorney told Congress the White House would not turn over subpoenaed documents for former presidential counsel Harriet Miers and former political director Sara Taylor. Congressional panels want the documents for their investigations of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' stewardship of the Justice Department.
This refusal paves the way for the impeachment of both Bush an Cheney, since Cheney has already refused to comply with a congressional subpoena.

How is it going to go?

A possible scenario:

Cheney gets impeached and convicted first, something the Republicians are already plotting, and then they annoint as VP one of the favored presidental candidates.

Then Bush gets the big toss, allowing the favored presidental candidate to be installed as El Presidente.

That keeps the Speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi, out of the picture.

Then, they can both run in the upcoming election--as already sitting office holders--without the Bush smell on either of them.

There will be plenty of smell, but not of the Bush variety.

Good going Repubs, a great scheme.

English, Please... Or Goodbye

(Angus Reid Global Monitor)
The vast majority of people in the United States believe everybody who calls themselves an American citizen should speak the national language, according to a poll by Hart/Newhouse released by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News. 89 per cent of respondents support having all immigrants applying for citizenship being required to learn to speak english.
Sounds reasonable to me. If you want to immigrate to the United States, or get a work permit for here, then learn our language.

It is not up to us to learn your language so you won't be inconvenienced. Demanding that we go out of our way for you should simply mean you will not be allowed here.

That's the way we (89% of us) want it.

If you don't like that, go someplace else. We certainly won't miss you.

Pure Hatred

From Wikipedia:(and Fred)
“Christian's parents found her abandoned Toyota 4-Runner two blocks away from the Chipman Street house on Monday, with the help of her mobile phone provider. An envelope recovered from the vehicle yielded fingerprint evidence that led police to Lemaricus Davidson and 2316 Chipman Street. When police went to the address on Tuesday, January 9, they found the home unoccupied and Christian's body in a trash can in the kitchen. Christian was strangled to death.[5] According to the grand jury presentment, Christian was raped vaginally, orally, and anally, and Newsom was raped anally.[2] Vanessa Coleman told police that "she witnessed Christian's mouth being cleaned with a bottle of some type of cleaner," in an attempt to remove DNA evidence.[6] Coleman also said that she had seen "clothes that were stained with blood and smelled of gas being put in the washing machine at the house."[6] Newsom was shot three times, "his body wrapped in a blanket, set afire and dumped alongside nearby railroad tracks."
The three black guys and one black woman that did this should just be taken out and shot, after a fair trial, of course. No jail time, no "life without parole", none of that. No appeals that take a decade to get past. Just shoot them and be done with it.

If the courts and the law won't, then we need to.

Israel As Policymaker

Colonel R.E. Bartos, USA, Ret. has some sobering thoughts about the United State's and its involvement in the Middle East over on this blog, Shrapnel. Says the colonel:
US failures in the region are a disastrous example of permitting Israel to make our policy there.
The colonel further says:
Barak as new Israel Defense Minister may be sobering for Israel and bring some adult thinking into the Israeli policy instead childish delusions of the restoration of King David's Kingdom.
And therein lies the problem, trying to restore something that is unrestorable.

The world of today is a vastly different place than the world of King David, whose Jerusalem was only a few acres of mud brick structures, surrounded by enemies that have survived to this day. Those enemies have fought the Jewish incursion into the area since the beginning of history.

The claim made by the Jews that their god gave them the place long ago is not a logical platform on which to base any of America's foreign policy. We must base our policies on the realities of today, not the wishful thinking of a small religous sect pining away for the past.

He offers one other observation:
I am certain Hamas is an Israeli enemy, but Hamas is not a part of the 9/11 attack or Jihad in Iraq... America may want to reconsider taking on the many and proliferating Israeli enemies as their own.
How true.

We have enough problems of our own, in particular the Mexican invasion and their war for the American southwest.

Let the Israelis make war of peace with their enemies as they see fit, but leave us out of it.

Giuliani Ready To Bulldoze Texas

Good ole' boy Texas governer Rick Perry has just cleared the path for the Texas portion of the NAFTA superhighway by vetoing legislation designed to slow it down.

Another American superhighway? Not on your life. This thing is going to be 4,000 miles of NAFTA highway and the $180 billion needed for construction in the next 50 years will be provided by Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a foreign investment consortium based in Spain. Cintra will own the leasing and operating rights on TTC highways for 50 years after the completion of the 4,000 mile total.

A foreign-owned tollway. What will it cost us citizens to use it? What will their maintenance be like? What condition will this one hundred-year-old road be in when they finally hand it over? Has anybody asked? Does anybody know?

And guess what?

Cintra is represented in the United States by Bracewell and Giuliani, Republican Party presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani's Houston-based law firm.

This highway is going to be a corridor four football fields wide... 1,200 feet, following the route of
interstate 35, which plows through some of the most expensive real estate in some major Texas cities.

A 1,200 foot wide path through the center of places like Dallas. How many businesses, motels, restrurants, gas stations, retail establishments, private homes--you name it--is going to be bulldozed down for this road? How many billions of dollars of intrastucture is going to be destroyed for this Mexican truck freeway?

Who is going to get the franchises to build new truck stops, gas stations, restrurants, motels etc., in this 1,200 foot right-of-way? You don't even get one guess.

And good ole' boy New York Mayor and Republician presidental candidate Rudy Giuliani is right in the thick of it.

And I'll just bet you Texans believed that them damned New York based yankees couldn't hurt you.

Surprise, surprise....

How's That Again?

A letter-writer over at WND says (in part) this, while responding to Farah's claim that he has "intensely studied" the nature of the Middle East conflict for over thirty years:
You must have also found in your studies that Osama bin Laden, the main proponent of "Islamo-fascism", was a former operative of the CIA for many years in Afghanistan during the '80s against the Soviet Union and in the '90s in Chechnya. You also must have learned that the bin Laden family has very strong business ties to the Bush family..."
Does anyone out there have a source for this bit of revolting news?

I would sure like to know how much of that is truth... none, some, or all.

And So It Begins...

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A crowd attacked and killed a passenger in a vehicle that had struck and injured a child, police said Wednesday.
Police believe 2,000 to 3,000 people were in the area for a Juneteenth celebration when the attack occurred Tuesday night. The man who was killed had been trying to stop the group from attacking the vehicle's driver when the crowd turned on him, authorities said.

The Austin Police Department identified the victim as David Rivas Morales, 40.
One must assume the driver was Mexican also.

Mexicans in the United States, even legal ones, are facing an incredible amount of pent-up resentment and anger. Any unexpected trigger can turn this into a rage against anything Mexican, and any retaliation by Mexicans--as so vividly demonstrated by this incident--will only add fuel to the fire.

The law, the government, the police... all have failed to protect America from this Mexican invasion, making this sad incident an example of things to come.

Cohousing

This from a genius named Stephen Baetge:
As people work to fight urban sprawl, well-designed infill projects can make a huge difference in reducing traffic, improving air quality, fighting global warming and providing better housing and transportation choices for our neighborhoods.
Wow! All that from cohousing! He goes on:
Cohousing combines private homes with generous shared facilities, thus creating the feeling of a small village where neighbors know and care about each other. Cohousing can create socially vibrant and environmentally sustainable communities, especially for seniors.
Shared facilities? Especially for seniors?

I've lived in several major apartment complexes where the neighbors had absolutely no interest whatever in knowing and caring, and that's a typical attitude. He goes on:
Cohousing also creates a more self-reliant community that doesn’t require numerous car trips. With onsite child care, shared common meals and a close-knit community, people have less need to drive their cars. In addition, they are more likely to carpool, to compost, to reuse and to recycle.
Paradise on earth, or so this exhuberant modern green-hued fairy-tale writer would have us believe.

So what's he really talking about? Apartment complexes, only with shared kitchens and bathrooms, like in military boot camp. How about those nifty "common" showers, hey? Particularily for your thirteen-year-old daughter?

We'll all just love that, won't we?

What if you get the runs, and your "shared" toilet is occupied by a throneroom book reader?

We gotta make sure that guys like this never get their ideas off the ground.

Addendum:

Wife just asked who was going to keep those "common" facilities neat and clean? For instance, who will re-stock the TP? Who will do all the cooking and dishwashing?

We are all aware of what happens to any "public" facility, where individual responsibility is non-existant.

Oh yes, some of bush's citizenized illegals, no doubt.

Suspected It All Along

This from Joseph Cannon over at his blog "Cannonfire":
We have no definitive answers, yet, to "colony collapse disorder," otherwise known as the dead bee problem. But strong signs point to a type of pesticide known as neonicotinoids, banned in France because the stuff, er, well, kills bees.
Yep. No doubt it's some chemical waste product the big chemical companies have pawned off as an insecticide to get around the expense of toxic waste disposal, a typical stunt.

Puppets On A String

More of the same:
East Hartford — Sen. Joe Lieberman repeated his call Friday for the United States to use “limited military action” against Iranian camps suspected of being used to train and equip terrorists who are killing coalition troops in Iraq.
Israel's number one citizen-in-absentia rears his "Israel first" voice again in his never-ending quest to involve America in yet another sad chapter of this endless and insane Israeli-Arab conflict.

Reality check:

This war in Iraq is all about protecting Israel and oil. Saddam and Iraq were a real threat to Israel. But, there were no WMD's in Iraq, no plot of Saddam's to attack Americia, no threat to America at all. It was not a base to train Al-Quieda terrorists. It is now known that the Iraqis are enemies of Al-Quieda. At his very moment, Iraqis are fighting and killing the Al-Quieda that have ventured into Iraq.

Yes, it's always been about Israel and oil, neither of which are worth sending thousands of American sons and daughters to die for.

The oil interests in the region are so deep into corruption as to be useless to us, and Iran? Iran is an enemy of Israel--not America--unless Bush has his way.

And now, Lieberman tries to run up the flag for a wider war, to involve America even deeper in this Israeli conflict with the Muslims, to send more Americans to die in a fight we have no business being in.

And Bush wants the same thing.

We need to face the fact that this president has been a disaster for America. He has done NOTHING right--nationally or internationally--since 911.

He has committed us in two wars, both quagmires, both disasters.
He has totally destroyed our political infuence around the globe.
He has destroyed the normalization of relations we were experiencing with Russia, threatening a new Cold War.
He has completed the exportation of America's manufacturing base, making China the greatest manufacturing power today.
He is spending us into financial ruin and is totally destroying the dollar.
He has done nothing to counter the Mexican invasion, the war for our entire southwest. We just don't realize it's a war yet.
He has done nothing to protect our borders... from anybody.
He is trying to destroy our sovereignty with this North American Union nonsense.

And no wonder he seems such a fool, what with the cesspool of advisers that he has surrounded himself with.

If the present gaggle of candidates will not stand up and face this Bush disaster squarely and place the blame directly where it belongs, don't waste a second of your time on them.

Support someone for President who will put America first... Not Israel, not Mexico, not China.

No Speaka Da Engliss

From the Land Of Fruits And Nuts:
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger told a gathering of Hispanic journalists that immigrants should avoid Spanish-language media if they want to learn English quickly.
"You've got to turn off the Spanish television set" and avoid Spanish-language television, books and newspapers, the Republican governor said Wednesday night at the annual convention of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists? Now there's one of the problems... and organization like that shouldn't even exist here. Mexico or Spain maybe, but not here.

Arnold was responding to a question about how Hispanic students can improve academically here in the United States. Well, duh, stupid... Learn English. If the racist widdle Latino students don't want to learn English--here, in the United States--send them go back to school... in Mexico.

Listen to this nutcase, Alex Nogales, president and chief executive of the totally bigoted and racist National Hispanic Media Coalition.
"I'm sitting shaking my head not believing that someone would be so naive and out of it that he would say something like that. Hispanic immigrants need Spanish-language media to stay informed and "function in this society," .
No no, Alex. One needs a good command of ENGLISH to function successfully in this society. I'll bet a pocket-full of Pesos that those brown-beret members of the NAHJ were expecting Arnold to respond that the schools need to teach everything in Spanish, so they could go cheer, drink, pop off firecrackers and have a Fiesta! Complete with Mariachi music!

What a world-class jerk. He wants to keep his own people crippled and illiterate in the use of English so he and his self-serving amigos in the National Hispanic Media Coalition can keep their jobs and positions.

Typical.

So Who's Surprised?

The Gaza Strip today fell into the near complete control of Hamas, which now administers Gaza and its borders with Israel and Egypt.

Hamas seeks to create an "Islamic caliphate" in Gaza.

And what--might I ask-- have the Arabs/Muslims been trying to do for the past two thousand years? Establishing their goals in Gaza is merely a small step in the realization of their plans.

Western nations need to understand that the almost two billion lovers of Allah have been trying to set up their religious empire for centuries, in total defiance of the Crusaders, WW1, WW2, England, the Jews in Israel--and now the United States-- things and places that have been constantly tossing a monkey wrench into their plans. They have been trying to set up this empire--not in America, or Brazil, or England-- but in the Middle East, in the lands of their ancestors.

In the long run, they will win this fight, even if it takes another two thousand years. And it's not for 60--or a thousand--virgins, that's just BS. It's for their religion, for Allah.

The entire effort by Christianity has always been to "send in the troops", but when--finally--enough troops die, or the money pit runs dry, the Christians will quit and go home.

And then, because we have invaded and occupied thier lands and killed hundreds of thousands of their friends and family, the Muslims will bring the war to us, in our cities, our homes, our markets and malls.

Today's Christians will not--as the Muslims have done--take up arms in every village and city when the invaders arrive. They will not strap explosives to their bodies to go kill the enemy. They will not teach their children to sacrifice their lives for God.

A few will, but not nearly enough.

The Christians are not prepared for this coming storm. They are not preparing. But the Muslims are. They have over five thousand mosques in the United States alone, and when the suicide bombers start pouring out of these mosques and into your town and neighborhood, what will you do? Will you and your progeny fight the invaders and occupiers for the next two thousand years?

Most Christians in the United States are "Sunday go to meeting" fair weather type. They don't stop everything to bow and pray five or ten times a day. Most are the "God do this", or "God do that"(prayer) types that think it's a miracle when they lose twenty pounds. They will not fight for their God, for their country, even for their home.

What they will do is demand that the government fix things. What they will discover is that the sons and daughters of Allah have taken over their government.

Buy your women--all of them--burkas. They will need them.

Ban The Popcorn?

This from Seattle... where else?
AP SEATTLE ... the City of Seattle may ban employees from making microwave popcorn...
a memo from the Fleets and Facilities Department addressed to "Employees at Civic Center Buildings" says there has been several evacuations in recent years due smoke alarms being tripped by burning popcorn.
The memo states that in the past three years, there have been eight evacuations at the Justice Center, which includes jail cells and courtrooms, because of burnt popcorn.
Give these people a break. After all, they are city employees, the type of people that can't boil water without burning it.

Look at the bright side... somebody is properly maintaining the smoke detectors.

Really?

This from FT.com:
Leslie Moonves, CBS chief executive, suggested that sexist attitudes were partly to blame for the faltering performance of Katie Couric, the news anchor he recruited to the network with a $15m annual pay package.
“I’m sort of surprised by the vitriol against her. The number of people who don’t want news from a woman was startling,” Mr Moonves said of the audience’s reaction to Ms Couric, who this month brought ratings for the CBS Evening News to a 20-year low.
Probably not. The Cable news outlets use many women, the main reason being viewers like to watch them.

So my guess is that folks just don't like perky Katie--for reasons not at all sexist--and Moonves is looking for someone else to blame besides himself.

Back in april of last year I had wondered just how her flip and perky style would go over with veiwers when she was reporting the daily body count.

Guess I know now.

What Is Bush Really Pushing For?

President Bush has thrown down the gauntlet on the immigration bill, Senate Bill S1348, even though he must surely realize the nationwide opposition to the amnesty provisions in it, and the dire consequences of such an amnesty.

But there are other things is this bill not being talked about by anyone.

Portions of this bill provide for the fast-tracking of actions necessary to create this "union" of Mexico, Canada and the United States that Bush and his masters so dearly want, actions that will absolutely eliminate our national borders, physical or virtual, and our sovereignty.

I do not believe that George Bush gives a hoot about whether 12 million illegal aliens get amnesty or not, so long as they keep working for peanuts . I do not believe he cares about ordinary citizens at all. I believe he is working to fulfill the purposes of those few insanely rich and powerful who would rule the world as dictators.

With the exception of his half-hearted attempt to capture Osama in Afghanistan, his thrust and focus as president has been:

To increase the profits of international corporations and their owners, and their control of governments worldwide.

His love of illegals is about cheap labor. His war in Iraq is all about oil. His focus on government is to give it all away to places like the Hague... or worse.

He has fully supported the offshoring of American manufacturing to places where the cost of labor is a non-factor.
We have lost millions of good paying jobs here in America mostly to the Asian rim nations, who--in return--are sending us cheap but shiny junk, poisoned food products, both human and non-human, and are in a full assault against the American dollar.
Bush continues to fight--tooth and nail--to keep illegal aliens here, whose very presence greatly reduces the cost of labor for his corporate supporters and allies. These illegals depress wages and benefits, and directly affect our quality of life, our health system, our welfare system, our school system and the Social Security for every individual American.
George W. Bush knows this. George W. Bush understands this. George W. bush does not care.
Bush is not alone in this attack against all Americans. Ted Kennedy, Arlen Specter, Diane Feinstein, Harry Reid, John McCain, Jon Kyl and other United States Senators are patently guilty of treasonous conduct in this attempt to reduce America to something far less than what we are, what we were, and what we could be.

Why do they do it? Is it for money? Is it for power? Is it for acceptance? Is it for revenge? Or are they really just simpletons who have been led down the rosy path into the world of stupid conduct?

Don't get me wrong, there are millions of real Americans in our government who are doing their best for America in just about every federal department. But I can imagine that many of them are being frustrated and stymied by the conduct and actions of those self-serving traitors in high places.

What to do?

At the very least, continue and increase the pressure on the Senate to send this bill S1348 to the permanent trash bin.

After watching this president for over six years, it seems to me that he is no friend of ours--you and I--he is a friend of those unknown entities who have plans for us and our progeny that will do great harm to us in the long run.

Barbeque

Wife and I have been searching for a good barbeque joint since one of the best ever closed down in Waxahachie, Texas.

We tried yet another one today, just south of Forney, Texas, but it had that lighterfluid aftertaste in the meat, always present when the cook starts up the charcoal using a boost from good ole' lighter fluid. When are they ever going to learn?

This place was in bubbaville central. There was a big ole' boy wearing a black Tee-shirt which said:
This is my Glock. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Under which was a silk-screen rendition of a Glock semi-automatic.

I was going to comment to him about his love for a silk-screened Glock, and that my weapons weren't ink, but made of real metal. However, I refrained, since he looked--at acted a lot like--that Sheriff in "Macon County Line".

It was the guy sitting at the table behind us with two females that took the cake. We both actually heard him tell those two women:
God loves me, and he loves my testicles too.
And to my undying surprise, neither of those two women laughed in his face.

Now that I think about it, I would have most likely paid good money to have heard that conversation in it's entirety.

True story... happened just today.

Chinese Ban American Raisins

Color me surprised:
BEIJING: Raisins and health supplements imported from the United States failed to meet Chinese safety standards and have been returned or destroyed, the country's food safety agency said Friday.
Chinese Inspectors say they found bacteria and sulfur dioxide in products shipped by three American companies, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said.
"The products failed to meet the sanitary standards of China," the agency said in a brief notice posted on its Web site.
Now, just what would those standards be like? Based on recent experiences, they may be something like:

On fish:

-1) When fish farming in rivers, no raw sewage excreta--human or animal-- should be seen floating on the surface of the water where the fish are fed.
-2) Any fish found with more than two eyes will not be consumed domesticly, they are to be shipped to America... in lead containers... quickly.

On toothpaste:

-1) Toothpaste that glows in the dark is to be sent to America.
-2) The disclaimer "Made in china" on the toothpaste tube is to be replaced with one reading "distributed by...(pick good American-sounding company name)".

On food in general:

-1) Any food product found to have killed more than 500 hundred remote villagers will be recalled, re-labled "pet food", and sent to America.

Yessir... standards we can feel safe with, standards we can all live by.

The Paris Saga Continues

Sung to the tune of "Old McDonald had a farm":
Paris Hilton went to jail,
E, I, E, I, O.
And you should have heard her wail,
No , No, No, No, No.

Chorus:
With a big tear here and a big tear there,
Here a tear, there a tear, everywhere tear tear,
Fragile widdle Paris went to jail,
Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho.

And then the sheriff he let her out,
E, Yi, E, Yi, Oh!
All she had to do was weep and pout,
And she was shown the Do'...

(Chorus)

But then the judge he got real mad,
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh.
So back to jail the poor frail went,
Now ain't that just too bad.

(Chorus)
See? Twelve years of music finally paid off.

Cognitive Rigidity

A psychologist, in a letter to WND, says:
....Bush exhibits a trait common to all fanatics: cognitive rigidity.

As a psychologist, I've seen this trait often enough to say that the president has it in spades. His mind latches on to an idea, belief, or policy, and from that point on he totally discounts any reasoning or evidence that doesn't support his idea. Consequently, his decision-making capacity is greatly diminished, or even worse, greatly impaired.
And here all this time I thought he was just a half-burned out boozer that needs instructions to say anything beyond "uh".

Paris Walks

Paris Hilton- after serving five days - has been released to the horrid confines of her home... for forty days and forty nights.

She will have to wear an "ankle bracelet". More horror... because it's not diamond-studded platinium, not stylish, not an "in-thing" at all.

But just wait, Paris style ankle bracelets(cheap plastic, made in China) are going to show up in stores, the next big craze for the adoring and witless masses. Maybe even an ankle-bracelet styled ipod.

She was released because of a "medical situation". Something like an uncontrollable pout maybe?

Now tell me she won't be having big fun-filled bashes--home based, of course--in which the evil non-platinium ankle bracelet will become an object of amusement and ridicule.

Justice is not only blind... it's gotten stupid.

The Great TB Scare

A guy, who has a drug-resistant form of TB, flies off to Europe, gets married, flies back, and causes the lemmings to go screaming en masse over the cliff.

He broke no laws, but still ended up in federal lock-up. They called it a "medical quarantine". All his tests--so far--have shown he contaminated no one, infected no one, nor did he endanger anyone's life.

He was even scheduled for a special surgical operation in Denver to handle his problem and eliminate it.

OK, one guy, with a serious disease, but not one that guarantees the death of who ever gets it, like AIDS.

You get AIDS, it's a death warrant. The drug cocktails taken by HIV active victims only delays the onset of AIDS, and when HIV blossoms into AIDS, the clock starts ticking... you become one of the walking dead.

So why the uproar over one TB dude, when we have literally millions of AIDS carriers wandering freely around in our society? And if AIDS is so hard to catch socially, why is it a world-wide pandemic that has already killed millions?

We sure have our priorities messed up one this one. But, as one would suspect, if you bring up the AIDS disaster, you are instantly labeled homophobic.

Well, label away, but I'd prefer TB to AIDS any day.

The Corpse Has Almost Quit Wiggling

The United States military is being positioned to be put into action under presidential authority in any one of a dozen scenarios within the United States – including natural disasters, epidemics, terrorist attacks, insurrections, or domestic violence including conspiracies.
That comes from a report by WND columnist Jerome R. Corsi.

And take a close notice at this:
Section 1076 of the John Warner Defense Appropriation Act for Fiscal Year 2007 grants the president the right to commandeer federal troops or state National Guard to use them domestically.
That just about puts the last needed knife wound into the back of our dying republic.

Once the federal government, under the orders of the president, can position troops anywhere in America, the concept of States Rights, civil rights and personel rights all vanish.

Note that the State Guards will now be under the direction and orders of the president, not the respective state governer. Something bad happening in Arizona? Use The Florida(not Arizona) National Guard to quell it.

Bush will--no doubt--complete the plans to turn us into a Socialist State before he leaves office... if ever.

This is how Hilter came to power, only it's been much easier for Bush, because Congress has not put up a single roadblock during his grab for power to accomplish his personel goals and ambitions.

He wins... we lose.

Or Get Some Rope

(New Haven-AP) _ New Haven's aldermen are expected to approve city issued identification cards for illegal immigrants.
If I were a New Haven taxpaying citizen, I'd be looking to tar and feather a batch of aldermen.

No War Plans For Iran

Color me skeptical:
MADRID, Spain (AP) - The U.S. is not preparing for war against Iran and Vice President Dick Cheney supports that policy, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says, taking a swipe at a U.N. official who says he's worried about "crazies" who want to start bombing.
Somebody just said about this administration that their modus operandi is, "If accused, deny. If caught, lie".

Rice is showing that to be true.

Bye-Bye Money, Hello BS

Why does this make me smile?
WND-Just two days after President Bush slammed critics of his immigration policy, the Republican National Committee has reportedly fired all 65 of its telephone solicitors, as donors are said to be furious over the Bush's stance to give legal status to millions of illegal aliens.

"Every donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue," a fired phone-bank employee told the Washington Times.
That sounds like it's about 99% truth to me.

And then along comes RNC spokeswoman Tracy Schmitt saying:
"...terminating the phone solicitation staff "was not an easy decision. The first and primary motivating factor was the state of the phone-bank technology, which was outdated and difficult to maintain. The RNC was advised that we would soon need an entire new system to remain viable."
That would be TS dishing out BS.

And more evidence that the republician leadership believes it's base really IS stupid.

A Xenophobic?

Part of a piece written by Julie Mason on Chron.com., the internet mouthpiece for the Houston Chronicle:
Bush, for the first time, is putting opponents on notice that he's going to call them out on their xenophobia if he needs to.
Yeah, sure Julie...

I'm xenophobic if I resist this illegal alien invasion of America by up to twenty million poor, uneducated and often sickly rejects from south of the border, with thousands more sneaking in every day.

Well, you can stuff it, Senorita Mason.
