Good ole' boy Texas governer Rick Perry has just cleared the path for the Texas portion of the NAFTA superhighway by vetoing legislation designed to slow it down.
Another American superhighway? Not on your life. This thing is going to be 4,000 miles of NAFTA highway and the $180 billion needed for construction in the next 50 years will be provided by Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a foreign investment consortium based in Spain. Cintra will own the leasing and operating rights on TTC highways for 50 years after the completion of the 4,000 mile total.
A foreign-owned tollway. What will it cost us citizens to use it? What will their maintenance be like? What condition will this one hundred-year-old road be in when they finally hand it over? Has anybody asked? Does anybody know?
And guess what?
Cintra is represented in the United States by Bracewell and Giuliani, Republican Party presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani's Houston-based law firm.
This highway is going to be a corridor four football fields wide... 1,200 feet, following the route of
interstate 35, which plows through some of the most expensive real estate in some major Texas cities.
A 1,200 foot wide path through the center of places like Dallas. How many businesses, motels, restrurants, gas stations, retail establishments, private homes--you name it--is going to be bulldozed down for this road? How many billions of dollars of intrastucture is going to be destroyed for this Mexican truck freeway?
Who is going to get the franchises to build new truck stops, gas stations, restrurants, motels etc., in this 1,200 foot right-of-way? You don't even get one guess.
And good ole' boy New York Mayor and Republician presidental candidate Rudy Giuliani is right in the thick of it.
And I'll just bet you Texans believed that them damned New York based yankees couldn't hurt you.
Surprise, surprise....

Another excellent money-funnel into the coffers of the Whore of Babylon via her millionaire bigshots here in America.
I don't give half a busted damn who owns the banks or the media...The money trail ends at the bead-fingerers in charge of the oil intermediates and the military industrial complex these days, to say nothing of those in the wetbacks' rights game.
