According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. food prices rose 4 percent in 2007, compared with an average 2.5 percent annual rise for the last 15 years, U.S. food prices rose 4 percent in 2007,
And the agency says 2008 could be worse, with a rise of as much as 4.5 percent.
Where in the hell do they shop for food? Not any place I know of.
I keep a really close watch on our food costs, it being second only to the mortgage in monthly outlay, and from my records, the least cost rise in a food item we purchase has been 10%, with others as as much as 27%.
Not only are the presidential candidates totally out of touch, so is the rest of this idiotic federal government.
And the Agricultural Department folks who figured out these numbers? Either they have been ordered to falsify the numbers, or they really are stupid.
