Forget the governmental "jobs lost" figures, they don't reflect the real problem. Far more accurate is the ratio of employed Americans to the adult population. And it's terrible.
The chart above shows the employment-population ratio, the ratio of employed Americans to the adult population. By this measure it’s been a weak economy all along — and now it’s falling off a cliff.
According to that chart, four out of every ten adult Americans are out of work. Works out to a 40% unemployment rate, not the 6.5% or whatever the government is harping. Of that 40%, I wonder how many lost their jobs to illegals?
