Internet Might Have Stopped Hitler?

Nobel literature prize winner Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio said Sunday:
Who knows, if the Internet had existed at the time, perhaps Hitler's criminal plot would not have succeeded - ridicule might have prevented it from ever seeing the light of day.
Well, we can only judge that by past experience. Hitler caused war and suffering that lasted six years. Bush has caused war and suffering that has lasted much longer than that, and we had the Internet up and running long before Bush and his neocon buddies hatched their WMD plot.

The thing about criminal plots... they stay hidden until they are sprung on people... by then it's usually to late to prevent them.

Another point: Endless ridicule has not slowed Bush down in any detectable way.

The Internet may be widespread and used by millions and millions of people, but it has no power to match the might of the federal government.

And if past behavior is any indicator, the internet in general and bloggers in particular, are about to be muzzled with "hate speech" laws for telling the truth.
