Iran Will Not Be A Cakewalk

Russia is helping to improve the protection around Iran's nuclear power plants:
Russia is preparing to sell its S-300 surface-to-air missile system to Iran, offering greater protection against a possible US or Israeli attack on the Islamic republic's nuclear facilities. The missiles have a range of more than 150 kilometres and can intercept jets approaching at low altitudes.
It's not a first step:
Russia has already delivered 29 Tor-M1 missile systems under a $700 million deal with Iran in 2005.
When Israel attacks Iran, Israeli losses may be quite heavy, and they may not be able to knock out all the Iranian facilities. Israel's previous success's with its sudden airborne attacks is no guarantee that the strategy will work against a target that has been preparing for such and attack for years.

America's technological edge has been slipping for some time now, and a confrontation of American-supplied Israeli aircraft and weapons against the latest Russian-supplied anti-aircraft defenses will demonstrate how much slippage has really occurred.

It may be the real reason no attack has occurred to date.

Stay tuned.
