The Next President

Astrosmith talks of how our next president is a moron. It's a tough comment to argue with.

Consider:

The presidential contenders from both [parties were - without exception - second and third stringers:

Obama: A totally untested and unknown nobody until the media elevated him to savior status,

Clinton: a neophyte senator supported mostly by a collection of fringe groups,

Fred Thompson: A Hollywood regular that confused acting with reality,

Bill Richardson: A Mexican who confused his Mexican support as New Mexico's Governor with actual support,

Romney: A whacked-out religionist with dreams of a Godly version of socialism,

McCain: a tired, old, worn-out warhorse that dreams of glory from another era,

Huckabee: Still unknown.

Ron Paul: The obligatory Ferengi.

The entire list is like that... loaded with what one must finally realize is nothing more than a stable full of also-rans.

So where were the big names, the big guns, from either party during all this political razzmatazz? Hiding in the weeds, that's where.

Why?

The next president will go down in history as the all-time worst ever... period. The next president will not be able to solve a single major issue facing America. Not the illegal alien problem, not the collapsing dollar crisis, not the oil disaster, not the skyrocketing costs of everything, not the approaching Middle East conflagration, nothing. The next president will make the world-wide terrorist threat far worse.

The next president will take the hit for all these things, things that Congress has actually brought down apon our heads.

Congress is the big spender that has endlessly raised the national debt level to allow it's continued wild-eyed spending spree.

Congress is the entity that authorized the money for Bush's wars. Without that congressionally approved money, even Viagra would not have helped Bush.

Congress is the governmental body that has sold our oil reserves out to foreign speculators, foreign governments and foreign corporations, all of whom are refusing to - or not allowing us - to drill for our own resources, supported by our disgusting Congress.

Congress is the body that refuses to protect and defend our borders.

But Congress will walk away scot free from all their treasonous and traitorous misdeeds in the coming collapse while the next president is hung out to dry.

That's why all the big guns - in both parties - are sitting this one out. Obama, Clinton, McCain... all blinded by personal ambition, preferring not to see the coming tsunami that will overtake us all.

Or perhaps they are aware, but consumed by a fevered ambition to be president, to go down in history as an American president, no matter what.

Hitler, the man who caused the greatest grief in modern history, is endlessly referred to, quoted, discussed. He will never be forgotten.

Maybe that's why today's presidential candidates are still fighting so hard for what will no doubt be a legacy of disaster, or maybe Astro is really right... the next president(won't matter who) is a moron.

But wait until 2012... when that president will will truly be seen as a "savior". Then every man and his dog will be running.
