47%

That's the percentage of Americans on - or wants to be on - some sort of government largess.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney recently commented on this 47%:

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what,” Romney explained to an audience member who asked how the candidate was going to change the “we’ll take care of you” mentality of Obama voters. “All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it…And they will vote for this president no matter what.”

Since that is actually the truth, liberals everywhere have their panties in a bunch over the thought that any politician would speak plainly. From Media Matters to Yellowdog Granny, the hue and cry over someone stating a demonstrable fact is continuous.

It is obvious that we can not speak clearly about what is happening around us without having the brainwashed Obama drones throwing hissy-fits and foot-stomping tantrums.

How many people are saying things like:

I'm voting for Obama  because....

He wants to give me free health care.
He wants to give me food stamps.
He wants to tax the rich.
He wants to redistribute all the money and give me some.
He wants to give me free college.
He will let me to buy a home without any income to pay for it.
He talks real cool.
He's black.

How many? Just about none of us. But 47% of us think it.

That leaves 53% of us that do not buy into that giveaway philosophy.

53% of us understand that the government has been - and must continue - borrowing money to keep all this up.

53% of us realize that the government has already run up a sixteen trillion dollar debt to keep all this up.

53% of us realize that we have to pay back that 16 trillion dollars of debt just to be broke.

Even if we were just "broke", if we didn't owe that 16 trillion dollars, the government would still be spending a trillion dollars a year more than it takes in.

How stupid does one have to be to not understand that we can't keep this up? That taxing all the rich in the entire world 100% of their income would not put a dent in our national debt? Well, you have to be as stupid as that 47% that thinks money does grow on trees.

Since a substantial number of that 53% will not bother to vote, there will be no stopping the Progressives and Socialists that have taken over the government. And the greedy, the naive, the brainwashed in that 47% will cheer about it.

Even if that 53% won the day and booted out our clueless amateur, just look at who would replace him. No difference other than speed and color. Both bankers boys, both Progressive Socialists(but only one admits it), both powerless to do what needs to be done.

So the American slide into Socialism and third world status.continues unabated.

Whee! It's one hell of a free roller-coaster ride that 47% has put us all on,  but the bottoms coming up fast... and it's solid rock. It's gonna be one nasty mess.  Being somewhere else when it happens would have been  a good thing.

My real problem with the 47% is that 37% of them don't need any public assistance & are ripping the rest of US OFF!
Much of that welfare beyond 10% is going to BanKhazars & other Old-Money Filthy-Rich.
Speaking of beliefs one clings to, I am convinced way over 47% of America has bought into the Keynesian lie so deeply they honestly think money can be created out of thin air via the printing press indefinately and Burn-bank-e's approach is the right one: Just keep printing more!
