How Things Have Changed

Texas is buying electrical power from Mexico.

What a role reversal that is.

Texas Governor Rick Perry is working hand-in-hand with power companies and Mexican authorities to provide enough electricity to Texas to stop the rolling brownouts being forced on citizens in places like the Dallas/Fort worth Megaplex.

This should we a real and true wake-up call that we need to build more electrical plants.

My son, who lives in Rockwall, Texas, stayed home yesterday and the day before. His business is located in North Dallas but the roads were sheets of ice, and it wasn't worth the risk of getting smashed up for another day's work.

Here's the point: While staying at home, he experienced six 15/30 minute electrical shutdowns. This was done by the our overloaded and overstressed electrical providers to prevent grid damage due to what would have been massive overloads. Lights out... six times, in an blizzard. Now that's scary.

Texas has some of the greatest reserves of natural gas in the world. Maybe this emergency will prod the production of a few more gas-fired electricity plants now and give the regulators enough sand to tell the greens to just shut up and go away.

We need the power, and a winter like this is more than enough proof that Al Gore and his "scientists" man made global warming is total nonsense.
