4 Dead Americans

Four Americans taken hostage by Somali pirates off East Africa were shot and killed by their captors Monday, the U.S. military said, marking the first time U.S. citizens have been killed in a wave of pirate attacks plaguing the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean for years.
U.S. naval forces, who were trailing the Americans' captured yacht with four warships, quickly boarded the vessel after hearing the gunfire and tried to provide lifesaving care to the Americans, but they died of their wounds, the U.S. Central Command said in a statement from Tampa, Fla.

Does the government actually expect us to believe that?

In the entire history of this piracy thing, the pirates have never killed the hostages because there were warships shadowing them. The hostages were their insurance, their safety shield, their get-out-of-jail-free card.

My money says they tried to use snipers from the deck of one of the warships (they've done this before), killed two but missed the rest. The remaining pirates then slaughtered the hostages, since they then knew the game was over.

Also chew on this:

A trillion-dollar navy and they can't save four Americans from a few 12th century aborigines. What good is it?

One other thing:

How stupid is it to go sailing a yacht into waters where pirates have been attacking ships for years? We are told they were "distributing bibles".

You bet.

They were having a great all-expense paid "around the world" sail using the churches money. THAT's what they were doing.

Turned out to be a bit more costly than they wagered aparently: The most expensive vacation you can take is an EGO TRIP, but that's religion (like the jesuit that got whacked in Egypt while others whine how unfair it is, and The Whore's getting millions from the taxpayers to settle ragheads in this country)!

It never ceases to amaze me people's insistence on putting themselves in harm's way.

The rules are: #1- Bad things are not supposed to happen to the beautiful people.

#2- The common street scum are supposed to always know their place and understand that the elites of the world are untouchable, anywhere, anytime.

It's a growing attitude amongst the rich and privledged... They are a protected class... and no ignorant dumbass bottom feeding scum or asscrack bubba had better mess with them.

Problem is - Most of the world's poor and starving masses don't know about those rules, and those privledged elites that go into harms way generally find that out out the hard way.

Pity pity.
