President George W. Bush hailed progress made with members of the US Senate toward an overhaul of America's immigration laws, and said there were broad areas of agreement on a compromise bill.America has had an immigration policy that has worked just fine for centuries. We don't need congress "overhauling" our immigration laws, we just need to enforce them.
"There is a common desire to have a bill that enforces the border, a bill that has interior enforcement," he said.
"In other words, a bill that will hold people to account for hiring somebody who is here illegally -- but a bill that also recognizes we must have a temporary worker program," said Bush.
What we need is a plan of action to rid us of the massive problems 20 million illegals are causing. What we need is to severly penalize businesses that knowingly hire illegal workers. What we need is to secure and protect our borders.
President "look, my mouth is moving again" Bush has been approving anything that supports his "amnesty" attitude, but has been doing nothing to support the twenty million Americans who have lost jobs to these "guest" workers -- those illegal aliens he wants to stay here, give a pretty little card to, maybe fine a few bucks -- the very ones who are overloading and destroying our health system and schools.
Don't ever again try to tell me that this president is on our side. It seems everything this guy wants and does is -- in fact -- anti-American.
