Fear Rising

A headline from Miami:

Raid Rumors Fuel Fear Among Immigrants

By LAURA WIDES-MUNOZ

MIAMI (AP) - Thousands of illegal immigrants stayed home this week amid rumors of immigration roundups that federal officials say were unfounded, leaving some industries scrambling for workers.

Len Mills, executive vice president of Associated General Contractors of South Florida, estimated at least 50 percent of workers on construction jobs in the region had not shown up for work.

"This is costing millions of dollars a day, and I don't know who is going to pay for it," he said.
There are a few things in this Miami article that really rubs the raw spots:

1)- It's written by an obvious sympathizer... a woman with a Spanish surname.

2)- They're not "illegal immigrants" dammit, they're illegal aliens!

3)- Federal officials are quoted as saying the rumors are "unfounded". What unmitigated and disgusting garbage! What they should be saying "Yes, its true, we're starting to enforce the law by rounding all of you up... and tossing your law-breaking butts out of here.

4)- Who is this Len Mills? Somebody who is angry because all these illegals are not showing up for work. Certainly a person who does not have a clue as to when to keep their mouth shut.

5)- It's costing Members of the Associated General Contractors of South Florida "millions of dollars a day"? Tough. I'll put it on my schedule somewhere to feel bad about that... someday.

It's about time that these illegals started to fear retribution. Feeling that they are immune to our laws may be a the very reason why 25 percent of our prison population is now convicted illegals.

How many people would just walk out of a store with whatever they wanted -- without paying -- if they knew in advance there would be no consequences?

It's the same with this invading horde of illegals. They have long believed that there would be no consequences.

It's time we change that... fear fo the law can be a good thing.
