Whose Side Are They On?

Gasoline at $4.00+ a gallon and going up. Diesel is even higher. Everything delivered by truck in the nation - which is everything - is going up(trucks run on gas or diesel) and this administration is doing everything in its power(which is considerable) to prevent us from accessing our own massive supplies and reserves of petroleum, natural gas, and coal.

The Obama administration late Friday appealed a judge's orders directing the Interior Department to act on several Gulf of Mexico deepwater drilling permits.

The appeal is the latest salvo in the ongoing fight over the speed with which Interior is – or isn't – letting oil drillers get back to work after last year's BP oil spill.

Obama, during his presidential campaign, told us all that - under his plan, whatever it was/is - that energy costs would "necessarily skyrocket".

How about that? Seems he was telling the truth to us - They are skyrocketing.

Now... no matter how the greens trumpet wind and solar power, they don't presently generate sufficient power to keep one State going, much less fifty. It will take years - decades - to put in place the equipment and transmission grid that solar and wind sources will require. Who is going to manufacture all that equipment? Who is going to pay for it?

Judging from the present condition of our manufacturing capabilities, it won't be us doing the manufacture. We over-design everything, Union labor (Obama's wet dream) is far too expensive and non-competitive, and we're broke, fourteen trillion dollars in the hole and going deeper.

Obama and his fanatically green buddies seem to think that allowing the price of fuel to "skyrocket" will somehow usher in a dreamworld of all-electric cars supplied with abundant and limitless green energy, no doubt provided by Chinese supplied solar panels and epically over engineered twenty-story windmills produced by totally government-supported outfits.

Not next year, not five years from how, not two decades from now.

Why?

Did you know that - right now - the greens and the government are blocking the permits needed to construct the electrical transmission lines that will be necessary to deliver the power from the wind and solar farms to where it will be needed? Wilderness reserves, national monuments, endangered mice... All that stuff is being used as totally effective roadblocks to any construction.

The very same people who claim wind and solar will save us all are the very same people that are preventing its realization. They're lying to us about all of it... from all sides of their mouths.

That's why.

Meanwhile, this nation needs the energy supplied by oil - right now - just to keep afloat, and that means we should be going after our own resources with everything we got.

Remember back when gasoline hit $3.00/gallon during the Bush years?

The liberal media went nuts, screaming about how horrible it was, how the Bush administration was destroying the entire nation, probably the world also. Abortions were no longer necessary because babies were dying in their mother's wombs over the cost of gas. The economy was going to collapse into utter ruin. Sewers would plug up. Birds would fall dead right out of the sky. Our way of life would be destroyed. To hear them scream, all wild-eyed about it, we were all doomed. We would be living in cardboard boxes somewhere under overpasses, eating rats and all those dead birds.

Well, gas is now over $4.00/gallon. where are all those babbling fools now? Are they no longer concerned about the nation being destroyed along with the rest of the planet? They don't mind the loss of all those babies, but that's another story.

Maybe they have developed a taste for rats.

Well now. The liberal media was correct in all their predictions of disaster and doom. they just did not realize that it wouldn't be Bush that triggered it, but their Mufti Messiah Obama.

Bush and Obama... Two players on the same team. Bush advanced the ball maybe twenty yards, but Obama has connected on a 50-yard pass. They've brought us to within inches of the Progressive goal line.

That's why they're silent today. They are the cheerleaders for the Bush/Obama team. They think all the coming misery of the approaching worldwide depression will just pass them by, because well... They're the cheerleaders!

But sooner or later - maybe they'll realize who did it to them, but probably not... They'll find a way to blame the Tea Party or all those uneducated and spittle-dribbling bubbas in fly-over country.

So whose side is this administration on? It sure isn't ours.

Just wait and see.

Another thing: Remind yourself that all those hundreds of billions we spend for oil and gas go straight out of our pockets and into the pockets of all those OPEC friends of ours that love us so much.

All that money - our money - gone.
