Well, that's working out about as expected... those new champions are blending in with the old crowd and vanishing in the mix. Most - if not all - of these new Washingtonians are demonstrating that they are no different than the people they replaced.
As Vox stated:
Speaking of unserious, a Tea Party darling, Sen. Marco Rubio, demonstrates that he is not to be taken seriously either: "I will vote to defeat an increase in the debt limit unless it is the last one we ever authorize and is accompanied by a plan for fundamental tax reform, an overhaul of our regulatory structure, a cut to discretionary spending, a balanced-budget amendment, and reforms to save Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid."
In other words, he's willing to throw away a concrete limitation on the size of government for nebulous promises of future responsibility.
Washington today can be compared to one of those leaking reactors in Japan. The closer you get, the more dire the consequences are.
The radiation from those nuclear plants will simply kill any worker that gets too close, and forever sicken those who only skirt the danger zones.
Washington has a different kind of radiation, but one just as deadly. It is generated - not by nuclear fuel - but by greed, lust, corruption, the desire for power and control. No matter how honest and straightforward, no matter how high-principled the person is that we send in, the Washington kind of radiation is too strong. It will still poison them, and poison them quickly.
The Tea Party never stood a chance of success... An honest intent to do the right thing cannot possibly face up to the temptations offered by Washington, and the Tea Party representatives in Washington are starting to demonstrate that dismal fact.
Japan is going to have to bury large sections of those contaminated nuclear plants, entomb the damaged reactor cores and closely associated equipment in deep pits that will be cordoned off forever and hopefully remain unmolested for thousands of years.
What to do with Washington?

Japan can peaceably do something about its nuclear situation. Like the "holy" Roman Empire with which it is infested, nothing will change in Washington DC until the corrupt empire collapses, or shit starts getting busted and asses start getting kicked...
My money's on the latter!
