Liberman Wasn't Available

Obama picks Joe Biden for his VP.

I would have been less surprised if he had picked Halle Berry. At least she would have made the ticket easier to look at.

McCain spokesman Ben Porritt said:
There has been no harsher critic of Barack Obama's lack of experience than Joe Biden.
He said further that Biden has denounced Barack Obama's poor foreign policy judgment and has strongly argued in his own words what Americans are quickly realizing -- that Barack Obama is not ready to be President.

Earlier this year - while running against Obama - Biden said that nominating someone without national security credentials would be a "tragic mistake" and further said that the presidency "is not something that lends itself to on-the-job-training."

Well, that's all true, but since when has any of that mattered to the American voters? Obama must surely be thinking about how we all elected George Bush, a man who didn't have - and still doesn't - any credentials worth talking about either.

But it makes sense, if you dig under the surface just a bit.

Why did Obama pick one of his most vocal and damaging critics? Because of Biden's impressive record of supporting all things Israel. When Biden had previously criticized Obama for his "poor foreign policy judgment", that was Beltline codespeak for a lack of support on Washington's "Israel First" foreign policy, a foreign policy that's unbeatable for Israel but disastrous for America.

Obama, being a product of the Chicago political machine, had little to no experience in giving the Jews what they demand from America on a daily basis, but since his run for the presidency, he has been educated on just how much they determine American politics. So, he selects a man with impeccable Jewish support, and vice-versa. It will greatly help in getting "American" Jews to vote for him.

That's why.
