New Zealand Really Is Different

The photo below is of some clouds over New Zealand.

A bit startling , wouldn't you say?

Now that's something worth writing home about.

This from "Astronomy Picture of the Day":

Explanation: What kind of clouds are these? Although their cause is presently unknown, such unusual atmospheric structures, as menacing as they might seem, do not appear to be harbingers of meteorological doom.

Oh well...

If this kind of cloud  ever appeared over Sedona, Arizona, I'd still bet all those covens full of self-made witches that play in the rocks around there would pee in their panties.(if they wore any)

Slow day today... sorry.

I'd be very freaked out if I saw those kinds of clouds.
And I've seen some weird stuff, like a horizontal "tornado". I kept expecting one end to lower to the ground, but it never did. I also saw the end of a tornado, the funnel had gone back up, it looked kind of like a giant pizza spinning in the sky.

That's REALLY creepy!
You see something like that overhead and you expect to not see nothing at all shortly after.
