Laugh Or Cry?

Want one? We'll fly one over your place... no problem.

Iran has long claimed it managed to reverse-engineer the RQ-170 Sentinel, seized in December 2011 after it entered Iranian airspace from its eastern border with Afghanistan, and that it's capable of launching its own production line for the unmanned aircraft.

A video aired late on Wednesday on Iranian TV shows an aerial view of an airport and a city, said to be a US drone base and Kandahar, Afghanistan.

 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iran/9855020/Iran-shows-footage-extracted-from-US-drone.html

Spies used to carry cyanide pills to use if they were caught. James Bonds brief cases were rigged to blow if they were messed with. All the missiles I ever tracked in the day were equipped with a self-destruct system should something go wrong.

Yet the United States sends unmanned drones into enemy airspace without so much as a firecracker to go bang if it is captured and pried open for study.

I can't decide whether to laugh at their stupidity, or cry at their stupidity.

We have to get over this idea that because they are government people they are really, really smart - all super trained, super educated and other nonsensical stuff - and are able to make better decisions than your average crowbar-wielding Ghetto resident.

Gotta remind ourselves that most of them are graduates of today's university and college system, which means that independent action, logic and critical thinking are completely alien to them.

We spend billions of tax dollars engineering and designing all this hi-tech stuff... and then our government just gives it all away to our competitors and enemies.

Still waiting for somebody with clout to say "Enough is enough!"

We should have sent a cruise missile to hit that thing when the Iranians first caught it.

And how about the Navy crew that did NOT ditch all the high tech gear out of their P-3 surveillance plane like they were supposed to several years ago when Wrong Way the Chinese pilot wrecked into them, forcing them to land on Hainan?

Astro:

I get the feeling that if we were in charge... instead of the morons presently infesting Washington, outcomes would be VASTLY different.

We may not see eye-to-eye on a few subjects, but we do agree on a wholem lot of them.

Seems like a no brainier, but I guess that just describes the guy in charge.

Or maybe it was a trojan horse type of an operation

If I had a guy in charge that hated white people and was doing whatever he could to bring the country down, I would not be surprised at these actions.
Most of our military can't trust their leaders.
The suicide rate among troops has never been higher.
As many Chinks as Comrade-0 has let in, I am hard-pressed to imagine China doesn't have drone tech, also...fewer secrets are more short lived than military ones.
