JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The United States and Israel agree on the need for "tangible action" to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's spokesman said after a visit by U.S. President George W. Bush.No freaking way does the United States "agree". Maybe Bush and a large part of Congress agrees, but about 99.9% of Americans are not interested in yet another Middle East war, this time with Iran.
Even the bimbos and bobbleheads in TV news say that Iran is Israels enemy, not an enemy of the the United States. But Israel keeps trying to shove us into the fray. The Israelis - naturally - will stay out of the conflict and let us take all the hits. Nice folks, those Israelis.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert no doubt promised Bush to do "something" about Middle East peace, but not now.
And then sent him packing off to Saudi Arabia, empty handed, totally unaware that his tail was firmly tucked between his legs.
