Millions of people were affected in southern California and Arizona by a massive power outage yesterday.
"Officials" said it was not deliberate, but an action caused by some employee somewhere.
Color me dubious. I have realized for some time that those who hate us enough to fly our planes into our buildings surely understand that knocking out large sections of our power grid would be far more effective, devastating and long term than destroying another building or two full of paper shufflers.

That's what I am expecting... A few terrorists with a few sticks of dynamite stolen from a construction site go out into the desert almost anywhere sporting a major power transmission line, wrap some explosive around a few legs on a few towers, set a timer, and bang!
Not a cop anywhere. Not a single Homeland Security dude in his three-piece suit from Washington. Not a single gung-ho SWAT loony within a hundred miles. All the terrorists walk away scot free, and the U.S. suffers a major setback.
That's what I thought when I first heard the news. It's so obvious and so simple. And the way our "officials" endlessly lie to us all, the story about some employee - somewhere - flipping the wrong switch may not be what happened at all.
But... Our "officials" are going to investigate. Golly gee, that makes me feel so much better.
